Privacy Policy

Daily Sketching is an independent app based in Berlin, Germany. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we use it. We take your privacy seriously and will never sell your data.

What we collect

• Account information — your email address, username, and name when you create an account.
• Google account data — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
• Drawings you upload — photos of your sketches that you choose to share with the community.
• Usage data — which challenges you complete and when, so we can show your activity history.

Why we collect it

• To provide the service — running your account, saving your progress, showing community drawings.
• To send transactional emails — password reset emails only. We do not send marketing emails.

Our legal basis under GDPR is contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — we need this data to provide the service you signed up for.

Third parties we use

• Google OAuth — for sign-in. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare R2 — for storing uploaded drawings and pose reference images. Data is stored in the EU.

We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics services that share your data with third parties.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Uploaded drawings are deleted immediately upon account deletion.

Your rights (GDPR)

As a user based in the EU, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your account and all associated data.
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
• Objection — object to how we process your data.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie banner is required.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
